The first ever Fisheries Summer Program began here today and it attracted a number of students from both Secondary and Tertiary Level institutions.

The program which will end on Friday is being conducted under the theme “A Future For Me In the Fishing Industry” and is being held at the Fisheries Division Conference Room.

Ministry of Agriculture representative Erica Douglas said the program has been designed to motivate young people to pursue careers in the Fisheries sector. Participants are being schooled on several topics relating to fisheries.
