Keep clear signs in front of business places in Kingstown are not for use as personal parking spaces by business owners but for business purposes only and that includes picking up and dropping off goods.

So says Station Sergeant attached to the Traffic Department Calvin Glasgow. Speaking during a radio programme recently, the veteran traffic cop said that business persons must be reminded of this when applying for keep clear signs in front of their business places.

“Persons are using these keep clear signs for personal parking and when trucks and other vehicles come to deliver goods they have to stop in the road and at times block or even hinder the flow of traffic”, said Sergeant Glasgow.

He added that the Police are going to look into the matter in an attempt to stop this practice.
