CED caters for youth entrepreneurship

Catering for the entrepreneurial development of the nation’s youths is one of the Centre for Enterprise Development’s (CED) aims and the organisation has promised that they will continue to offer assistance and diverse programs to do just that.

Defending the CED’s decision to offer help to local persons involved in designing, Jacintha James said that the designing sector is a productive industry that many youths gravitate toward.

The CED was recently criticized for offering assistance to young designers but James said on Thursday that giving help to designers is something that the CED saw as beneficial to the country as the industry attracts young persons, “and with help from the CED, they have an opportunity to express their creativity and innovation”. She said that a number of persons are looking at a future in the designing industry and this sector can in fact aid in economic development.

She added that it is the CED’s dream to develop this industry so that the local entrepreneurs may benefit from it.
