St Vincent establishes diplomatic relations with Cambodia

UNITED NATIONS, CMC – St. Vincent and the Grenadines has established diplomatic relations with Cambodia, according to a statement issued here by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Mission.

It said that the document was signed on Tuesday by Ambassador Camillo Gonsalves and his Cambodian counterpart, Dr. Sea Kosal.

The statement cited common characteristics of the two countries including a young population, transition from agriculture to tourism, and vulnerability to climate change.

Cambodia, a South East Asian country of over 14 million people, is the 12th country with which St. Vincent and the Grenadines has established diplomatic relations in the last 19 months.
