P.M Gonsalves on the swearing of Fife and Caesar at government house
The Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines is continuing it drive to train the next generation of leaders to take this country forward.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves made this disclosure at the swearing in ceremony of Senator Michelle Fife and Minister Sabato Caesar earlier today.
Dr Gonsalves said the process began in 2001 and was accelerated after 2005. He noted that the appointments made to the Senate, in the public service and statutory bodies indicate that the government wants to put young people in position of authority.
The Prime Minister noted that this refreshing of personnel also brings a refreshing of ideas, zeal and energy to the task at hand.
He said the refreshing and the changes which are taking place are being done internally in the party and in the government for them to be presented to the people as continuity and change.
The Prime Minister said he was happy to see the two young persons sworn in to serve in this regard. Also, at this morning’s ceremony congratulatory messages were made by the outgoing parliamentary secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Hon. Conrad Sayers, outgoing Minister of Housing and lands Senator Julian Francis and Minister of Culture Rene Baptiste.

SVG already have an over sized government adding more people to the governments payroll , will add a little more financial burden to our country.
The PM talks about putting young people in position of authority. No government put any young persons in positions unless they can be maniplulated or to help reach others. this PM is very self serving and will do anything to lead us down the garden path. He thinks the ULP is the only government that could deliver on the airport, what a joke. Maybe the ULP is the only party that can rebuild Haiti, time to go we need an election now.
Universal 3788:
Mr Eustace has clearly stated that he will not continue the Argyle Airport project if his party is elected and he becomes Prime Minister. That was clearly stated at home and during his recent North American (Toronto and New York) fora.
As far as I am aware, the NDP is the governmet-in-waiting. So why is it a joke that Prime Minister believes “the ULP is the only government that could deliver on the airport”?
So what are you doing to contribute to the Haitian Relief effort?
Peace and Love.
